    The VCe long /i/ vowel spelling as in kite is a common spelling of the long /i/ vowel sound. There are other ways to spell the long /i/ vowel sound. These include ight as in night and might, i as in bind and kind, and y as in fly. In some cases, this VCe pattern does not represent the long /i/ vowel sound, as in receive and receptive. Is it just me or is time flying by? How do we make the most out of our short time here on Earth? That’s what we’re here to find out.
